FPSE Confidential Counseling Services
FPSE members and their immediate family have access to in-person confidential counseling services by highly trained master's and doctoral level clinicians. These services assist our members in dealing with stress, relationship, anxiety, depression, job pressures, material conflict, substance abuse, grief and other personal issues. FPSE members have both phone and in-person access to local qualified attorneys to assist them in a wide variety of legal issues. Areas of expertise include, but are not limited to:

In addition to phone consultations, members are entitled to a free 30-minute consultation with a 25% reduction in customary legal fees thereafter.
Members are also entitled to free online Will preparation. Our online Estate Guidance program lets you quickly and easily write a will on your computer. You simply follow the prompts to create and download your will at no cost. Online support and instructions for executing and filing your will are included. You can:
- Name an executor to manager your estate
- Choose a guardian for your children
- Specify your wishes for your property
- Provide funeral and burial instructions

FPSE Family Scholarship Program
Each year the FPSE Family Scholarship Programs provides financial support to our members their children and grandchildren. Members attending an accredited college or university are eligible for scholarship assistance. Children and grandchildren of members who are graduating high school seniors may apply as well. This scholarship may be used for any field of study. The application period is January 1st - March 15th.
Eligibility:
- At time of application be a member in good standing for at least one-year
- Be enrolled in a community college or university taking course work in any field of study
- For children and grandchildren be a graduating high school senior
- Return completed application and required documentation by March 15th.

FPSE Hardship Grant
Our members facing an unforeseen emergency or catastrophe may apply for a one-time hardship member assistance grant. Our hardship grants are intended to be a one-time stop gap measure to assist our members in facing unexpected crisis. These small grants ranging from $100 - $500. Our grants are approved based on a demonstrated need and fund availability. The application/approval process is 48 hours or less. To be eligible for a hardship grant you must be a member in good standing for at least 1 year and have a documented bona fide unforeseen emergency. To apply click here.
FPSE "Employee of the Year"
The dedication and hard work of our state employees too often go unnoticed and unappreciated. However, we believe it services provided by state employees should not go unrecognized or unrewarded. Each year in the month of November, we honor and recognize an "Employee of the Year" who demonstrated extraordinary commitment to public service. The nomination period is open from May 1st - October 15th. A person may be nominated by any co-worker. The nominator nor the nominee is required to be a member. To nominate a co-worker click here.
